“The paint job was absolutely terrible. I have a list of items that were damaged during the job. Some include: our brand new stone patio, our back patio, clothing (my husband's suit, and my son's Jiu Jitsu Gi - both very expensive items), our new fan blades were scraped (4 of 5 of them) with a ladder, I assume, master bathroom toilet clogged, dent in our fridge, ripped toilet paper holder off wall and not repaired, damaged face plates for light switches, broken outlet in daughter's room. The drywall looks like it was done by someone who has never done that before. (bubbles and holes everywhere) I repaired myself. The "texture" added where there were holes (not big areas so not sure why it was done this way) looks like dripping blobs. There were TONS of paint drips everywhere. The lines were not clean. The house was filthy after the team left. We had someone come touch up and it took him over 3 hours and everything was still not fixed. The cabinets we paid extra for were barely painted and were not prepped. The hinges had paint all over them. Things I talked about with the program manager (like a piece of trim on the inside of the back door) not painted despite discussing it. It was later painted very slopply. They sealed our drawer closed with paint in the master then "fixed it" by ripping it off and you can still see where they did that. We found some random person's identification documentation (a temporary Driver's License) not belonging to anyone on the crew in our refrigerator. We stopped by one day and the team had left the 5 gallon bucket of paint with the lid off and it had already dried the top layer. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. Collin and Gustavo are the only good things about this company.”

“Based on the bids I received from all contractors from whom I solicited proposals, while Alliance was not the lowest bid, their cost was reasonable compared to the others. Though not the lowest bid, the details of the proposal and the information I received about their prep and painting process convinced me to give them a try. On line recommendations of prior customers also helped. The job was started and completed as scheduled. The job site was cleaned up every day. When completed, the walkthrough resulted in few touch ups being required. I have done a lot of my own painting and work hard to get clean lines between colors and different surfaces. The paint edges are neat and clean and met or exceeded my personal standards. While I always suggest seeking multiple proposals in any job of this size, I would easily recommend Alloance Painting be a company that should be included in the mix.”

“Sales experience was excellent and the painters professional and skilled. Did a great job of keeping the work site clean after each day, kept me informed of any specific problem areas they were addressing, and took care to not disturb plants, shrubs, etc. However, despite being told by the sales rep that he would come by our home personally to check on the project, never saw or heard from him again. Likewise, the site project manager only came by the house at the very beginning and twice during the last 24 hours to personally check with us. We received texts daily as to when the crew would show up - which was good. The last day walk around was rushed, painter had not yet removed all the masking tape, so a couple of areas that needed touch up were hidden. I didn’t discover these until 1 day later. Notified Alliance, they responded quickly, but haven’t seen anyone yet to perform the work. Let’s just say the value was good, painters were excellent and we are happy with the outcome.”

“This is the second project Alliance has completed for me. Though, I am mostly pleased with the results, there were some missteps.”
“Doing a good job of painting was my minimal expectation. I would hope that all professional painters can paint well. The other two companies that submitted a bid offered to pull down the dead vines on one side of my home. I made the mistake of assuming that Alliance would do the same. They were on ladders, scrapping the dead vines off the soffit, but they refused to pull the dead vines from the brick. It would have added very close to no time at all to do. I'm 75 years old and in poor health. The fact that they were so uncooperative makes me unable to recommend Alliance to my friends and neighbors.”

“The new crown trim, base trim and doors/casings were all installed before the painters came. I expected the painters to sand where needed. I would have paid another $1000 to get this right. I was told that the 1x4 part of the crown molding may have been rougher than the crown. If so, I expected it to be sanded as needed. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA There are many rough spots/drips on that portion of the crown in most rooms. It does not look good. When the lights are on you can see these spots. The door casings had spots that needed sanding. I was told that the installer used caulk instead of wood putty to fill the nail holes and that it was hard to sand off. The crew WAS able to remove the caulk where I pointed it out. They should have gone back and done all of the doors this way since they could, in fact, actually remove the caulk and make the casings look much better. I did ask them to. They also did not get all of the nail holes covered. It does me no good to know that supposedly the door installers and the carpenter who put in the crown/base trim should have used putty and/or should have sanded down everything. They were long gone and I expected Alliance to take care of it. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA. I fully expected a flawless job because Alliance had done the work in my next-door neighbor’s house and that work WAS flawless. The door going into the garage from the laundry room has bubbles in the paint on both sides. THIS IS A BRAND NEW PRIMED DOOR. The crew came back on 12/26/24 and sanded a few places, put on a bit of paint and left the door at that. There is a line all around the living room wall where a piece of trim was removed. Instead of up-charging to spackle and texture in that area and cover where the wood was removed, the crew just painted over it. Alliance did charge an extra $1200 to spackle and texture above the base trim to cover a line where the previous base trim was. WHY WOULD THE CREW NOT MENTION THAT SO YOU COULD CHARGE ME TO COVER THAT LINE IN THE LIVING ROOM AS WELL? I would have paid for it. They had to have seen it. I did not realize it showed until I turned on the big light in my living room the day after I paid in full. My heart sank. These are the MAIN things that I'm very unhappy with. To me, for $18,000, they are major things. We saved a long time to get that $18,000. I went ahead and paid but I am not satisfied. I did point these things out to the crew and to Matt-except for the line in the living room. As I said, I did not see that until a day after Alliance was paid in full and I turned the main living room lights on. Everyone at Alliance have been very pleasant but I felt like I was getting excuses as to why this or that wouldn't work every time I pointed out an area of concern. THAT DON’T GET IT DONE. I wanted solutions. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA. I would be so happy if someone came back and corrected these things but I do not expect that will actually happen. It gives me no pleasure to give a less than stellar review. I do think the crew is very talented and did a great job prepping and caulking. They did a great job placing new sheetrock, spackle and texture on a section of the wall in the den. They were courteous, professional and very nice to work with. Most of the painting was very good. My problem is that where there were issues that needed solutions. I GOT NONE.”
